Ben lobbied succesfully for transitional central Government funding for BANES Council, which helped protect frontline services while keeping council tax rises down. 

He has also fought to keep the cost of local politics down, playing a big role in the successful campaign against an elected BANES Mayor.

He also help save Bath Magistrates' Court from closure, helping to protect local access to justice.
