Having worked with the NHS for several years and having a disabled mother, Ben strongly believes in the NHS and its values and is committed towards driving up standards of care in the local area.

Ben has supported the Royal United Hospital as Vice-President of their official fundraising charity, the Forever Friends Appeal, a charity that has received the praise of the Prime Minister. He has also campaigned to reduce parking charges at the RUH.

Ben has also fought for drugs funding for local residents with rare conditions, and is also Chair of the APPG on Rare, Genetic and Undiagnosed Conditions.

Ben Howlett MP leads debate on Child Cancer

Ben Howlett MP led a debate in Westminster Hall calling on the Government to put child cancer at the forefront of NHS and government funding schemes. The debate was sparked by the parents of Poppy-Mai Barnard who sadly passed away after a battle with a very rare cancer.
